1. The purpose of the product
Veterinary universal diagnostic video system "VDS SPECIAL" is designed for direct non-contact video-gonioscopy and direct non-contact video-ophthalmoscopy, as well as other diagnostic studies in various species of animals, with viewing the resulting image on a monitor and the ability to record.
The image obtained by the CMOS matrix, converted into a digital video sequence, is reproduced on a personal computer monitor, laptop or tablet (hereinafter referred to as "PC") in real time. The resulting image can be recorded in various digital formats for further processing, cataloging, and storage.
Attention!!! The video system only works as part of a PC.
2. Scope of application
The device is intended for use in veterinary medicine, animal science, biology, zoology, as well as in scientific research on laboratory animals.
The video system is designed to work indoors and outdoors at ambient temperatures from plus 15 to plus 35°C, and relative humidity up to 80% at 25°C. The device must be protected from direct sunlight and water (dew, rain, snow).

4. Technical parameters
Video system " VDS SPECIAL” consists of (Fig 1):
Digital USB video cameras with a digital processor and CMOS sensor. Zoom adjustment systems (focusing). Lighting LEDs. Lighting control systems. Bodies. Handles. USB cable to power the device and transfer the image to the computer.
Connection to the computer - only via the USB 2.0 interface, with a rated operating voltage of 5 V and a current of 500 mA (0.5 A). Maximum data transfer speed: up to 480 Mbit / s. Maximum frame rate: 30 frames / sec (depending on the set resolution).
Lighting – white LEDs around the camera lens. Lighting adjustment – smooth rotation of the adjustment wheel on the adjusting device.
Magnification adjustment (focusing) - smooth, manual, by rotating the focus wheel on the device body. The minimum focal distance to the object is 5 mm.
The length of the USB cable is about 300 cm (by default). Cable connector: USB-A.
5. Minimum computer requirements
PC-compatible computer. Intel Pentium III or higher processor. At least 128 MB of RAM. At least one USB port with a 2.0 interface.
Operating systems: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS X 10.5 or above.
